Eusbio da Silva Ferreira, known by the playing name of Eusbio, (born January 25, 1942 in Loureno Marques [now Maputo], Mozambique) nicknamed “The Black Pearl or “The Black Panther” is a Portuguese football icon. Eusebio’s goals fired the Portuguese the their first ever World Cup in 1966 where his 9 goals ensured he finished as top scorer and Portugal got their best ever finish of 3rd.
